Our Policy on Conflict Minerals

Colgate-Palmolive supports ending the violence and human rights violations by armed groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and neighboring countries that has been funded in part by proceeds from the mining of cassiterite, columbite-tantalite (coltan), wolframite and gold, including their derivatives, tin, tantalum and tungsten (3TGs).

In line with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosure requirements regarding 3TGs, we are committed to strengthening our due diligence capabilities and processes to identify the sources of 3TGs used in our products, with the goal of ensuring that the 3TGs contained in our products do not directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the DRC or neighboring countries.

Our suppliers are expected to only supply 3TGs to Colgate that are sourced from mines outside the DRC and neighboring countries or from smelters and refiners that have been designated as conflict-free by the Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative. In addition, our suppliers are expected to establish their own due diligence procedures relating to 3TGs and provide written evidence of these procedures to Colgate upon request.

Suppliers and other external parties are encouraged to contact our Chief Procurement Officer at (212) 310-2000 if they wish to seek further guidance or report concerns regarding 3TGs.
