Rooted in a mission of education, mentorship and athletic excellence, Colgate Women’s Games (CWG) has inspired generations of students and athletes to pursue their educational goals. Registration is officially open for the historic 50th season of CWG.
“Our 50th Season is a reminder of why the Games exist: to create opportunities for young girls and women pursuing their dreams. We’re proud of the many lives touched over five decades, and this season we’re deepening our commitment to ensure the next generation of athletes has the support it needs to succeed,” says Cheryl Toussaint, Meet Director, Colgate Women’s Games.
The Games were founded in 1974 by legendary Brooklyn track and field coach Fred Thompson, with the support of Colgate-Palmolive. Participating athletes have the opportunity to win one of more than 100 educational scholarships awarded by Colgate-Palmolive each year, in $2,000, $1,000, and $500 denominations, based on order of finish in the series’ finals.
To celebrate 50 years, CWG is debuting a refreshed logo and inspiring new tagline, “Ready, Set, Dream.” The thoughtful update pays tribute to the historic legacy of CWG while capturing the program’s ongoing commitment to education, mentorship and athletic excellence.

By maintaining the signature red and adapting it for the modern era, the new look incorporates elements that resonate with the previous CWG logo, which has been a symbol of inspiration for decades. The refreshed visual identity now infuses a smile into the finish line, celebrating every powerful girl and woman pursuing their limitless potential.
“We are so proud to present this new look to our competitors, alumnae, coaches, parents, staff – all of our CWG family and beyond,” Toussaint added.
Dalilah Muhammad, a decorated American track and field athlete and global champion who specializes in the 400m hurdles, has joined Season 50 to support the celebration. Colgate-Palmolive previously announced that world-class runners Sha'Carri Richardson, Ajee' Wilson and Natasha Hastings will also be supporting Season 50. The Company also announced new partnerships with nonprofit organizations Girls on the Run NYC and PowerPlay NYC, as well as expanded support for The Armory Foundation.
“Colgate-Palmolive is the proud founding sponsor of Colgate Women’s Games, and we can’t wait for the community to get together for this milestone season,” said Dana Bolden, Chief Communications Officer. “The series brings our purpose to reimagine a healthier future for all to life, and we know this 50th Season is bound to be special."
