From the launch of Sanex Shower Gel in 1984 to the introduction of Sanex BiomeProtect in 2021—relaunched as Expert Skin Health with Prebiotic Complex in 2023—Sanex has consistently delivered products that align with the brand’s mission: to support overall health and well-being through the natural power of skin.

Over the past four decades, Sanex has continually evolved and expanded its product line to ensure everyone has access to products that keep skin at its healthiest. 

Milestones such as the 1988 launch of the first alcohol-free, kind-to-skin deodorant, the 2007 introduction of Zero% bath products with minimal essential ingredients, and the inclusion of prebiotics in Expert Skin Health highlight the brand’s commitment to innovation.

“We select essential ingredients and focus on formulas that enhance skin health rather than just its appearance,” said Andrea Morgan, Director of Personal Care Product Development and Implementation at Colgate-Palmolive. “Our goal is to ensure that every product we develop protects and nurtures the skin, keeping it both healthy and beautiful.” 

In recent years, Sanex has continued to push boundaries with innovations like Expert Skin Health with Prebiotic Complex. Developed over five years of rigorous research, this breakthrough was made possible through collaboration with the Sanex Advisory Board—a panel of experts dedicated to guiding innovations.

Expert Insights Fuel Product Excellence

A cornerstone of Sanex’s success is its advisory board, which is composed of leading dermatologists, scientists and skin health experts. The board is vital in guiding product development and ensuring Sanex’s position as a leader in skin health innovations. The board also provides technical support for skin-related topics, collaborates on research and clinical testing, and offers insights into formulation, ingredients and market trends.
