For most of us, doing the dishes is a simple, necessary and routine act. But what if a dish soap could turn that moment into something more?
That question sparked the creation of Palmolive Ultra Limited Edition Scents, crafted to bring a brief emotional lift to the everyday. While the trusted cleaning formula remains unchanged, each variant features a thoughtfully adapted scent designed to evoke seasonal sensations and small moments of delight at the sink.
Behind each bottle is a story of fragrance adaptation and rapid innovation designed to meet consumers where they are.
Scents That Spark a Moment
Guided by consumer insights and cross-category fragrance data, the Palmolive Ultra Limited Edition Scents lineup blends performance with seasonal expression.
- Peach Blossom: A soft, fruit-forward scent that blends juicy peach with subtle sweet undertones, evoking the feeling of peach trees in bloom and the warmth of early summer.
- Fresh Lemonade: Clean and citrusy with a twist, this fragrance layers lemon with mandarin, grapefruit and orange to create a sharper, more refreshing version of the classic lemon scent—like a cold glass of lemonade on a hot day.
- Apple Orchard (coming soon): A crisp, cozy scent inspired by freshly picked apples and cool fall air, designed to capture the essence of autumn in the kitchen.
- Warm Spice (coming soon): A seasonal blend that brings together soft spice, floral tea and a touch of citrus—offering a comforting, wintry note without overwhelming the senses.
Designing Fragrance With Purpose
Citrus and floral scents have long been the go-to in dish soap, signaling freshness and effectiveness above all. While Palmolive’s Limited Edition Scents retain some of those familiar cues, they build on them with fragrances designed to evoke the seasons, stir nostalgia and offer a brief moment of delight.
“We didn’t change the formulas people know and love, but we added excitement and made the product more reflective of what people are looking for,” said Ollie Ramsey, Brand Manager at Colgate-Palmolive, who worked on the launch.
To help shape the fragrance direction, Ramsey and the team looked across consumer categories, drawing on fragrance testing, trend data, and insights from other parts of the business to identify scents that felt timely, familiar and expressive. With support from internal AI tools, they surfaced patterns across home and personal care to ensure that each fragrance not only fit the season but reflected what consumers were looking for.
At the same time, the fragrance team looked inward—exploring successful scents from across Colgate-Palmolive’s portfolio that could be adapted for dish care.
Even when two products share a fragrance name, like watermelon or peach, the formulas are tailored to the job. For example, surface cleaners like Fabuloso are meant to leave a long-lasting scent. Palmolive Ultra Dish Soap, by contrast, needs to bloom instantly and fade quickly—offering a satisfying sensory lift without lingering.
That was the case with Fabuloso Peach, which became the foundation for Palmolive Ultra Limited Edition Peach Blossom Scent.
“For Peach Blossom, we added more creamy notes and removed the long-lasting technologies so it wouldn’t overwhelm the dishwashing experience,” said Daniel Talancon, Fragrance Development Scientist at Colgate-Palmolive.
This approach is part of Colgate-Palmolive’s broader use of a shared library of “socializing fragrances”: scents that can be adapted across product categories. The results of this process are faster development timelines, greater fragrance cohesion across the portfolio and more emotionally resonant experiences at home.
Designed to Be Seen
Each Palmolive Ultra Limited Edition Scent comes in a boldly designed bottle, wrapped in seasonal colors and illustrations that reflect the fragrance inside. Made to live proudly on the counter—not tucked away beneath it—the bottles extend the sensory story with designs that feel fresh, expressive and intentionally seasonal.

Future in Bloom
Tropical scents are being explored for Palmolive Ultra Limited Edition Scents, reflecting a growing interest in escapism and elevated at-home moments.
“We’re trying to bring a little vacation to your sink,” Ramsey said. “A little bit of joy, even in the everyday.”
By centering fragrance as a source of comfort, expression and delight, Palmolive is helping reimagine how we care for our homes—aligned with Colgate-Palmolive’s purpose of building a healthier future for people, their pets and our planet.
Palmolive Ultra Limited Edition Scents are available in the U.S. and Canada.
